Well, it’s official. The Carousel Microcinema will celebrate its inaugural show on Novemeber 21, 2009 in San Diego, CA.

It’s an old adage, but a true one: If you want something done, you gotta do it yourself. So I’m going to try and bring some compelling, challenging, and contemporary time-based media to my neighborhood. The goal is to not only watch great avant-garde films and videos but to have a space where we can discuss them. Carousel Microcinema’s home base is The Vaudeville and Candy Shoppe on El Cajon (yeah baby). The intimate 35 seat theater allows us to commune with the movies and then talk about them over Smarties and Mars Bars. Please check back in with details about the inaugural show. I look forward to sharing the videos I find with you. And I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
